Donate to Defend and Preserve Our American History

Across the country, our American history is quietly being erased.

In March, the Department of Defense began deleting tens of thousands of historic military photos—specifically targeting images of women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ service members.

Weeks later, a new executive order directed federally funded museums to revise or remove exhibits that address racism, injustice, and oppression—starting with the Smithsonian.

These aren’t isolated incidents.

This is a coordinated effort to rewrite history.

To erase the truth. And to erase us.

Visual Truth Matters is a national campaign fighting back.

We’re exposing what’s happening. Mobilizing public support. And laying the groundwork to protect—and begin restoring—our visual history before more of it disappears.

This campaign launched in response to a viral LinkedIn post. In just a few months, it’s become a full-time, high-impact movement backed by a fast-expanding network of volunteers, advisors, and strategic partners.

But we urgently need funding to keep going—and keep growing.

We’re now raising short-term seed funding to sustain and scale the next phase of the campaign—covering high-impact infrastructure, critical strategic support, increased visibility, legal protection, and full-time leadership for the next 4–6 months while we build toward institutional backing and long-term sustainability.

Your donation will help:

  • Build a searchable public database:

Create a robust, searchable public database tracking government-led visual purges, exhibit removals, and acts of visual censorship in real time.

  • Collect and preserve visual stories:

Ethically gather and protect personal photos and narratives—building a powerful, inclusive archive that resists erasure, fuels advocacy, and preserves our visual history before it’s too late.

  • Expand public awareness and visibility:

Run targeted ads, promoted posts, and public outreach campaigns to sound the alarm and bring more people into the fight—both online and on the ground.

  • Engage strategic partners and professional support:

Work with expert civic strategists, advocacy leaders, communications advisors, and marketing specialists to scale messaging, expand national impact, and guide long-term strategy.

  • Support core campaign tools and communications:

Maintain essential systems like email platforms, website hosting, and outreach tools to keep the campaign running smoothly and supporters engaged.

  • Travel for key campaign work:

Cover occasional travel costs for in-person protests, rallies, meetings, partner events, or public engagement opportunities as the campaign expands nationally.

  • Ensure legal protection and insurance:

Cover the costs of liability insurance, legal guidance, and compliance infrastructure—so the campaign can continue this work boldly, safely, and without fear of censorship or retaliation.

  • Sustain campaign leadership:

Support the full-time leadership needed to run this campaign strategically, consistently, and at scale—ensuring it not only continues, but grows in reach, impact, and national visibility.

This is seed funding with national stakes.

If you believe visual truth matters, this is the moment to act.

Please donate if you can—every dollar fuels the fight for truth.

And please share this fundraiser—every post expands our reach.

Together, we can protect what was never meant to be erased.

Because truth doesn’t preserve itself.

And history is worth fighting for.
