Protect America’s Visual History

Our visual history is under threat.

Across the country, images and records that document the full story of America are being removed or altered—often without transparency or public awareness.

If this continues, irreplaceable evidence of our shared history could be lost.

Visual Truth Matters is a national initiative working to document these changes, preserve at-risk material, and ensure continued public access to American history.

This work is already underway—but it requires funding to continue and scale.

Current efforts include the development of a searchable public database tracking visual erasure, a people-powered archive of vulnerable material, and a national awareness campaign to increase public understanding.

This is early-stage infrastructure with national implications.

Your support helps move this work forward—protecting and preserving visual history while strengthening access and accountability.

Visual Truth Matters is fiscally sponsored by Creative Visions, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports creative activists, those that use the arts and media to ignite social change.
